Questions

Which Claude apps does this work in?

claude.ai on the web, Claude Desktop, Claude Cowork and Claude Code. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so any other MCP client works too.

Do I need an API key?

No. Claude asks you to sign in to Virlo the first time it uses the connector. After you approve, Virlo makes a key for you. If your client needs a key, create a virlo_tkn_ key in the Virlo developer dashboard.

What does it cost?

The connector uses the same pay-as-you-go credits as the Virlo API. There is no extra charge for MCP. Many reads are free, and re-reading results you already have is always free.

What data can Claude see?

Public short-form data from TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, plus Meta ads: videos, outlier scores, hooks, transcripts, creators, sounds, hashtags and trends. Claude cannot post, and it cannot read your private accounts.

Why not just ask Claude without Virlo?

Claude only knows its training data. It cannot see which videos went viral this week. Virlo gives Claude live data, so its answers come from real videos, not guesses.
